Landlord education class accepting participants

In collaboration with CSU's Off-Campus Student Services office and the Neighborhood Services office, the City of Fort Collins will be hosting a Landlord Education Series. The series is a two-day, eight hour class designed to inform and empower local landlords to operate successfully.

Landlord Education Series

The class will take place on Thursday, March 5, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 12, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. This is a two-part training. Please plan on attending both days.

The cost is $20 and confirmation will only be sent after payment has been received. If you would like to register, credit card payments can be made by calling Melanie Clark at 416-2351. Cash and check payments can be dropped off at Neighborhood Services, 281 North College, second floor or mailed to Neighborhood Services, PO Box 580, Fort Collins, CO 80522. Please make checks payable to "The City of Fort Collins."

Neighborhood Services is also offering a class titled, “Fair Housing Practices for Landlords & Property Managers.” This class will be on Thursday, March 12 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and will feature a housing investigator from Colorado Division of Civil Rights. Topics to be covered include good practices in tenant selection and understanding fair housing regulations regarding reasonable accommodations and service animals. This class is free.
