Fundraiser supports efforts to end violence

March 25, 2009

Take Back the Night has inspired both women and men to confront a myriad of social ills, including: rape, sexual violence, domestic violence, violence against children, and violence against women. The unifying theme throughout these diverse topics is the assertion that all human beings have the right to be free from violence, the right to be heard, and the right to reclaim those rights if they are violated.

On Thursday, April 2, Odell's Brewery will host a fundraising event for the Campus Feminist Alliance's annual Take Back the Night event. The event will go from 7 to 9 p.m.

The $10 admission charge will include three beers for attendents that are 21 or older, food, a student art auction, and live music by Stella Luce and Origami Hands.

All proceeds from this event will help fund Take Back the Night, an event that raises awareness and advocates ending sexual violence.
