IR-Interactive expanded to include degrees awarded by college, department, ethnicity, & gender since 1991

December 15, 2011

In early November, the Office of Institutional Research introduced IR-Interactive to the campus community as a new dynamic web reporting tool created to empower users to access the official IR data and then manipulate it as required.

Users can now download data tables and charts into familiar formats such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or PDF.

Development of the tool began with student enrollment data but has now expanded to include degrees awarded by college, department (major and advising), ethnicity, and gender since 1991.

To access these IR-Interactive reports, simply click on the ‘Degrees Awarded’ link on the left side of the Institutional Research home page. You may browse the degree data in the legacy reports (Adobe PDF format) using the top link on the page or use IR-Interactive by clicking either of the other reporting links on the page. The IR-Interactive logo in the upper left corner of the screen indicates the reports are interactive.

Continued development of IR-Interactive will include persistence/graduation rates, application/admission/enrollment progression, student credit hours, faculty data and course data. While we have attempted to create a tool that is intuitive and easy to use, we have also created a short training video and provided training documentation.

These links can be accessed through links on the right hand side of the ‘Degrees Awarded’ main page.

As you have a chance to use the new tool, if you experience any problems or have constructive feedback to offer, please call the Office of Institutional Research at 491-5939.
