'All That Jazz: Bright Lights, Big City' Dec. 5

December 3, 2009

Dress up, drink mocktails and boogie down Saturday night at this ASAP sponsored event featuring live music from the national-touring jazz group, The Grippe.

Featuring The Grippe

Experience a classy jazz hangout on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at CSU when ASAP transforms the Lory Student Center North Ballroom into an upscale café, complete with the live band, The Grippe, a dance floor, mocktails, and light refreshments.

The Grippe is an organ trio that fuses funk, jazz, neo-soul, and blues to create songs aimed to make listeners “boogie.” This national-touring act consists of two accomplished Fort Collins locals and a newcomer from Portland, Ore.

With over 500 shows under The Grippe’s belt, they have been named the first house band for Hodi’s Half Note.

All ages welcome

This classy-yet-relaxed event allows people to arrive and leave throughout the evening. People are encouraged to dress for a night out on the town. There is no cover charge, all ages are welcome, and tickets and RSVP’s are unnecessary.
