She is survived by daughters Karin Marsh of Fort Collins, Paula Henderson of Redstone, Colo., and Judy Perkins of Burns, Wyo.; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.

She was employed by Poudre Valley Hospital from 1940-1962 as a scrub nurse and eventually surgical supervisor. She was then at CSU's Student Health Center for 15 years.

Phyllis was a gentle, tender lady who loved her family and nursing. She kept busy hiking (climbing Longs Peak at 65), camping, water skiing, swimming and birding.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 at Good Samaritan Society, 508 West Trilby Road, Fort Collins. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan. Please visit to view Phyllis' online obituary.
