University Employee Orientation Aug. 12

The Office of Training and Organizational Development provides a university-required orientation as the official welcome to the campus community. Eligibility for benefits initiates the orientation training requirement.

University Employee Orientation is the official welcome and required training for employees who:

  • Have recently become benefits-eligible at CSU
  • Work in the CSU vicinity
  • Have a 1/2 time or greater appointment

  • Thursday, Aug. 12, 8 a.m.-noon: Lory Student Center Senate Chambers
  • Thursday, Sept. 9, 8 a.m.-noon: Lory Student Center Senate Chambers
  • Wednesday, Nov. 10, 8 a.m.-noon: Lory Student Center Senate Chambers
  • Thursday, Dec. 9, 8 a.m.-noon: Lory Student Center Senate Chambers

Pre-registration required

Pre-registration is required to assist us in planning meals; also so that if changes are made, we can notify those who have registered.

What you'll learn

Participants will:

  • Gain an overview and welcome to CSU that cannot be provided any other way
  • Be provided with information CSU to needs to share with employees, including university policies, rights and resources, diversity, and campus safety
  • Become aware of services and discounts available to CSU employees
  • Learn about CSU's history and direction
  • Gain a sense of the CSU community -- the many types of employees and varieties of education and research being done on campus
  • Learn how to use resources at CSU -- library, computer and other free training, purchasing, and more
  • Have an opportunity to meet people that become friends through their careers;
  • Gain tools and knowledge to assist them in being successful at CSU
