Flobots headline festival benefitting disabled

Popular Denver-based band the Flobots will headline the second Colorado Disabled Pride Fest, set for Saturday, Sept. 7, on the CSU campus.

The Flobots feature CSU alum Stephen Brackett, second from left, as one of their lead singers.The daylong event, which benefits Disabled Resource Services, features a noon parade starting in Old Town, food, vendors, a beer garden and booths of various human service agencies from the Fort Collins area. A music festival follows the parade from 1 p.m-6:30 p.m. at CSU’s Lagoon.

Lead singer is CSU alum

The Flobots, which feature CSU alum Stephen Brackett (also known as Brer Rabbit) as one of the lead singers, formed in 2000 and has gained acclaim as an alternative rock/hip hop band. The Flobots have released three albums and in 2007 scored their first top 5 hit with “Handlebars.”

The Flobots will be joined by local bands The Seers, Trib U2, and Lee Holiday and the Time Off.
