Working at CSU

DeCrosta named interim director of HR Services

November 12, 2010

Vice President for University Operations Amy Parsons has named Tony DeCrosta, currently the Associate Director of Human Resource Services, as the interim director of Colorado State's human resources department.

Associate VP search postponed

Tony DeCrosta has been named the interim director of Human Resources at CSU.

The appointment comes following Parsons’ decision to postpone an ongoing search for an Associate Vice President for Human Resources who would oversee both the HR department and other personnel-related functions at CSU.

“While we were able to bring four qualified candidates for the AVP position to campus, and each had distinct strengths, no clear consensus emerged around any of the finalists,” Parsons said.

“In that light, and based on the feedback I’ve received from the search committee and across campus, I’ve decided not to move forward on filling the AVP role at this time. Tony DeCrosta will lead the department for this interim period after current director Carol Shirey retires, and then we’ll revisit a search for an AVP sometime in spring or summer of 2011.”

DeCrosta joined CSU in 2009

DeCrosta joined Colorado State University in 2009 and has more than 14 years in human resources management, including nine years at Anheuser Busch, Inc.

Leadership and communication skills for transition period

“Tony has great respect for the role and mission of Human Resource Services at CSU—as well as for the dedicated team that keeps our HR operation running smoothly,” Parsons said.

“He is committed to providing exceptional service to faculty and staff, and he has the leadership and communication skills needed to guide our operation through this transition period.”
