Who will receive a Distinguished Alumni Award?

What do the vice president of finance for Google, Olympic bronze medalist, biology professor in Jordan, and scientist with Procter & Gamble have in common?

They’ve all been awarded a Distinguished Alumni Award!

Help build the ranks of Colorado State greatness by nominating a friend, colleague, or mentor for an award. Recognize that someone connected to Colorado State University who has excelled in their career, volunteer work, or academic endeavors.

Don't forget about these new awards!

  • Distinguished International Alumni Award – recognizes an international alumnus/a for excellent work in his or her home country.
  • The Distinguished Faculty Award accepts nominations for emeriti or current faculty.
  • Distinguished Alumni Employee Award – recognizes an alumnus who is also a CSU employee.

Nominating an individual

The nomination process requires:

  • answers to several questions about the person’s personal and professional endeavors and commitment to the University
  • a resume or vitae of the nominated person
  • supporting documents such as letters of recommendation, newspaper clippings, or other awards

View the nomination guidelines and formsAll nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. MT April 14, 2014. Not all awards require the recipient to have a degree from CSU, but they all require a dedication to the person’s industry or community, and bring honor to the University.

The awards will be presented at a formal event during Homecoming & Family Weekend, held in October.
