Environmental Learning Center summer camps a hit

May 19, 2009

Three of the five summer day camps sponsored by the Environmental Learning Center at Colorado State are already full, but there's still room in camps scheduled for June and August.

Shades of Green

ELC Summer Day Camp
Monday, June 22 through
Friday, June 26
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
ELC East Drake Site

Who says Ireland is the only place with forty shades of green? Not us!

Come learn about all the things that make forests so colorful. We’ll discover the importance of fires, ecosystems and the creatures that inhabit forests of the Environmental Learning Center and natural areas around Fort Collins.

This camp runs from Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, and is for young people, ages 10-plus.

$140 for members, $170 for non-members.

Head east on Drake Road. Approximately one mile after passing the intersection at Timberline, turn left on Environmental Drive. The road will cross a one-lane bridge and turn sharply to the south. Before making the sharp turn south, take a sharp left on the gravel road (you will see the ELC sign), crossing the railroad tracks. Programs meet in the parking lot. (Map
