Party Registration program will return to CSU in April

February 16, 2010

Off-Campus Life's popular Party Registration program will return to CSU in April. The program is not currently taking registrations but will start after Spring Break. Students who have used the program before should note that this time frame is different than in the past.

Throughout April and May

We have extended the number of weeks that the service will be offered (the full months of April and May), and we will require that all party hosts register before 5 p.m. on Thursday. Friday registrations will no longer be accepted.

Off-Campus Life requests your patience as we coordinate with the Fort Collins Police Department and other community partners to once again get this ground-breaking program running. Look for advertisements after Monday, March 22, for details on how to register your party and avoid a noise violation and $1,000 fine.

Chance to avoid noise violation

The Party Registration program allows students to register weekend parties to aid in the prevention of noise violations, fines, misdemeanor criminal charges, and poor neighborhood relations. If you register your party in advance with Off-Campus Life and your neighbors complain about the noise, Fort Collins Police Services will call you and give you a verbal warning. This system gives you a chance to break up the party on your own without a visit from the police and a noise violation.

Although registrations will not be accepted until after Spring Break, you can stop by the Off-Campus Life Office today to pick up one of our FREE Party Packs with supplies, advice, recipes, and an awesome T-shirt for your upcoming party (must live off campus)!
