Dispose of prescription and over-the-counter medications
On April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local law enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public another opportunity to properly dispose of unused, unneeded or expired over-the-counter and prescription medications.
The service is free and anonymous.
Fort Collins residents also may now safely dispose of unused, unneeded and expired over-the-counter and prescriptions medications any day of the week at Fort Collins Police Services, 2221 S. Timberline Rd., 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Items not accepted include intravenous solutions, injectables, syringes, mercury including thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy/radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicit drugs.
