World Water Day Celebration planning

February 21, 2011

This year we are looking to focus on local water issues while still keeping an eye toward the international challenge of the issue of water. Our committee is looking for student organizations, academic departments and local organizations to help us put on this event this year.

World Water Day Celebration Planning!

The United Nation’s World Water Day is Tuesday, March 22 this year and CSU is an internationally recognized university – what a better place to host a World Water Day event!

We will be meeting in the atrium of the Warner College Natural Resource Building from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 (with some food and drinks provided).

We are looking for groups as well as individuals to contribute by:

  • Contacting local organizations to participate
  • Nominating local bands to provide entertainment
  • Organizing and setting up information booths for campus and local organizations
  • Providing and requesting guest speakers

Other ideas are welcome! If you or your student group or research group would like be involved in this yearly celebration, please RSVP by sending an email to
