Anti-human trafficking events

The Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement and other organizations on campus are sponsoring several anti-human trafficking events during the month of April that will take place on campus and in the community.


Tuesday/Wednesday, April 8-9
10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Lory Student Center
North Ballroom

"Enslaved: A Modern-Day Slavery Experience" is being sponsored by  SLiCE. It is a modern-day slavery simulation experience that aims to bring awareness to the injustice of human trafficking. Participants will walk through simulation rooms in which they will be in the shoes of a modern-day slave.

This is a drop-in event, and the experience takes 15-20 minutes. Due to the graphic nature of this event, only individuals 16+ will be able to attend.

This event is being organized by PRAXIS, a SLiCE program that supports students who are interested in developing a community service or action project that is innovative, creative, and change oriented.

A full-day display of artifacts from rescued victims of human trafficking. Then, from 7-9 p.m., there will be films and speakers to dive further into the topic.

A film screening of a human trafficking documentary and dialogue with the CSU Center for Public Deliberation.

FoCo Glow Run

Friday, April 25

CSU Lagoon

A glow in the dark run with a DJ, food, and glow in the dark fun to raise money and support for Amy’s House. Amy’s House is a restoration home for girls rescued from sex slavery in Northern Colorado. Registration is $20.
