Application for sustainable design and construction course available

The Department of Construction Management is offering the Sustainable Design and Construction program in Maho Bay, U.S. Virgin Islands (CON/INTD 450) May 17 - 28, 2011. This course is worth 3 credits.

Sustainable course focuses on U.S. Virgin Islands 

The course will focus on the major components of sustainable design and construction, including energy, healthy buildings, cultural and natural resource use, and other environmental and economic issues of sustainable built environments, specifically within the U.S. Virgin Islands context of development, eco-tourism, and limited resources.

The participants will gain knowledge on the best sustainable practices through lectures, site visits and interaction with the local environment.

Program participants will execute a short project utilizing those principles.

Application deadline is March 31, 2011.  Submit completed application to the CM Front Office in 102 Guggenheim Hall.
