Ask Cam

Moby Recycling Maniacs

February 25, 2009

Question: I attend a number of sporting events at Moby and typically have a plastic bottle to discard. Can you tell me why we don't see recycle containers inside Moby arena? All I can find are trash cans. Aren't we the "Green" University?

Cam’s answer: First of all, thank you for showing support to our Rams when they play at home in Moby Arena! A Ram fan who wants to recycle embodies the best of our CSU community.

I stuck my horns into the CSU Facilities Solid Waste Management office the other day and asked about recycling bins at Moby. I was told there are recycling bins in every office in the faciltity and eight brand-new recycling containers have been placed on the concourse at Moby Arena. Since CSU now offers single-stream recycling, you can now put your empty plastic water bottle and your game program into the same bin! Same goes anywhere else on campus.

Here's to recycling!
