CSU Opera Theatre presents La Cenerentola

The School of the Arts presents La Cenerentola (Cinderella) by Gioachino Rossini, performed in the Griffin Concert Hall, University Center for the Arts.

Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m.


$20, $9/CSU students, free for youth 12 & under (with paying adult)

La Cenerentola, ossia La bontà in trionfo (Cinderella, or Goodness Triumphant), was composed in 1817 when Rossini was just 25 years old, and is considered one of his finest vocal compositions. Come see Cinderella in a whole new light with special themes for each performance:

  • Opening Night Gala
  • Prospective Student Night with Talk-back
  • Café Vino Dinner Package Night
  • Music Education Advocacy Day complete with a Pre-Matinee Tea with Cinderella herself

CSU Opera Theatre is excited to offer our patrons a special show and dinner package. Enjoy a night at the opera with dinner at Café Vino, located just one block north of the University Center for the Arts.

Café Vino specializes in creating new opportunities for you to enjoy excellent food and wine and they have developed an exclusive 3-course meal just for La Cenerentola patrons.

First Course - Mixed greens with candied pecans and bleu cheese and served with balsamic vinaigrette

Second Course - Herb rubbed oven roasted chicken, served with seasonal vegetables and smashed fingerling potatoes Or Almond and pistachio encrusted tilapia, served with seasonal vegetables and smashed fingerling potatoes Or Lemon pepper linguini with Sautéed vegetables

Third Course - Chocolate Soufflé Or Fresh fruit tartlet (wine pairing available for $10)

Package prices (includes opera ticket and dinner): $49/adult, $37/student, $29/child under 12
