T&F: Codgill leads decathlon

Colorado State freshman decathlete Josh Cogdill showed Wednesday that he clearly isn't fazed by his first-ever outdoor track & field conference championship. Cogdill amassed a total of 3,582 points in the first five events of the decathlon, edging sophomore teammate Justin Green by a single point to hold the decathlon lead after day one of competition at the 2013 Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Sophomore thrower Kiah Hicks earned yet another Mountain West Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week Award Tuesday, the third such honor of her season and career. Read more.

SB: Rams travel to UNM

The Colorado State softball team (22-24, 8-7 MW) closes the regular season with its final Mountain West series against the New Mexico Lobos (21-32,3-12 MW) in Albuquerque, N.M. The Rams enter the final weekend of action tied for third in the league standings, two games out of first place, while the Lobos are in last place in the seven-team league. Read more.

Moby court resurfacing

The final touches are being applied to the court of Moby Arena, closing a four-week project, the first of its kind since 2006. Read more.

FB: CSU-Tulsa game on CBSSN

The Colorado State football team has added another televised game to its 2013 schedule. Conference USA and Tulsa University announced today the Rams’ Sept. 7 game at Tulsa will kick off at 6 p.m. MT and be televised by CBS Sports Network (CBSSN). Read more.

MG: Rams close play at MW tourney

In Colorado State’s final round of the Mountain West Conference Championship, the Rams shot a 297 (+13), giving them a three-day score of 876 (+24). The Rams finished in fifth place. Read more.
