International Dining Series

January 25, 2013

You won't want to miss these popular classes in our professional teaching kitchen taught by a registered dietitian and prominent 'foodie'; it's like Rachael Ray with a nutrition degree! We bring you not only cooking tips but also expert advice on nutrition, food safety, disease prevention, and making meal prep easy and inexpensive.

If you've resolved to eat healthier in 2013, join us this semester at the Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center for the third and final installment of our popular International Cuisine Dining Series.

Michelle Milholland, M.S., R.D., and CSU students will present easy, healthful dishes from each theme country, using traditional ingredients and techniques.

February 13 - Germany

Most people with German heritage can attest to both the deliciousness and heaviness of traditional German cuisine. In this class we’ll lighten up some classic dishes without losing the flavor.

March 13 - Poland

In this session we’ll go beyond the kielbasa and pierogies, and show you what Polish cuisine really has to offer! Join us to sample several courses of authentic Polish food with a healthful twist.

April 17 - France

French cuisine is not just for restaurants!  In this class we’ll do our best to channel Julia Child, demonstrating how to make fabulous French dishes in the comfort of your own kitchen. Bon appétit!

The cost is $20 per class - $10 for CSU students and employees.

If you register in advance for all three classes, the cost is just $50! ($25 for CSU students and employees!)
