Former Ram Bimper named Senior Associate A.D. for Diversity & Inclusion

Colorado State University has hired Dr. Albert Bimper, Jr., as a full-time appointment at the academic rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies and to the newly-created position of Senior Associate Athletic Director for Diversity and Inclusion. The 2006 Colorado State graduate and former Rams football student-athlete, comes back to his alma mater from Kansas State University where he has served as an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education, Counseling & Student Affairs and served as a mentor to the Wildcats' student-athletes. VB: CSU recognized for social media use

On the court, Colorado State volleyball is among the nation’s best, earning annual top-25 rankings and competing in 18 consecutive NCAA tournaments. The Rams are also leading the charge off the court, being selected as recipient of the 2012-13 AVCA Grant Burger Media Award. Read more.

Gary Miller named new Voice of the Rams

Veteran sportscaster Gary Miller will be the new radio play-by-play voice of the Colorado State Rams beginning this fall, Director of Athletics Jack Graham announced Wednesday. Miller, a longtime television sportscaster with Denver's CBS4, will call CSU's football and men's basketball games and host the Rams' coaches' shows with Jim McElwain and Larry Eustachy on the Colorado State Radio Network, originating from 105.5 ESPN. WBB: Williams announces addition of Wells

Colorado State added another transfer student-athlete to its growing roster on May 28 in Victoria Wells. Head Coach Ryun Williams made the announcement. Wells will join CSU for her junior season after playing for Trinity Valley Community College in 2012-13. She is the fourth junior college transfer on the Rams' 2013-14 roster. Read more.

FB: 10 named to Phil Steele's All-MW teams

Ten Colorado State football players were named to Phil Steele’s all-conference teams, the national college football analyst announced May 25. Tight end Crockett Gillmore, offensive lineman Weston Richburg and linebacker Shaquil Barrett were the three Rams who earned first-team preseason All-Mountain West accolades. Read more.

S&D: Rams add Griffith

Head Coach Christopher Woodard and the Colorado State women’s swimming & diving program have added another commit to its 2013-14 roster, announcing on May 28 the addition of Teagan Griffith. She will primarily focus on freestyle and backstroke events. Read more.
