The Colorado Combined Campaign, the annual campus fund-raising event, is now underway. This is the only charitable payroll deduction authorized by the state of Colorado.
Colorado State University has been donating to the Colorado Combined Campaign since 2000 and until last year had consistently held the No. 1 spot in dollars donated.
“Last year, Colorado State University employees made more contributions to the Colorado Combined Campaign than ever before,” said President Tony Frank.
“That means that in the spirit of the tough economic times we face, our employees recognized the importance of giving to help all those who rely on charitable organizations and need our additional assistance. This level of giving speaks volumes about the Colorado State University community and the compassion and support we provide to others.”
CSU’s campaign goal this year is to raise $160,000, a small increase from the $151,796 raised last year. CU raised $151,141 last year – let’s try to beat CU-Boulder again! When we compete, Colorado wins.
The campaign runs until Nov. 20, but you can donate after that date if you wish. You can choose to pay by check, cash, credit card or payroll deduction. If you choose payroll deduction, your first monthly contribution will begin Jan. 1, 2010.
Please note: You must complete a new pledge form if you want to continue your payroll deduction from last year.
You can also make your donation online.
Every CCC donor is eligible to win a $500 gas certificate or one of thirty $50 gas certificates donated by SunCor Energy. As soon as you make a pledge, you will be eligible for prize drawings. The prizes are items donated by the campus community and local businesses to encourage participation.
This year, the campus will also be participating in a raffle to win a two-year lease on a 2010 Subaru Forester donated by Dellenbach Motors. To qualify for the car raffle, you simply choose any of the United Way of Larimer County agencies and pledge at least $156.
