Looking for another three credits this semester?

The second eight  week online section of Business Computing Concepts and Applications (BUS 150) will accept registration until Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.

Improve technology skills

This course is designed to improve core technology skills for 21st century academic and business applications. Advancing beyond simple proficiency, the BUS150 curriculum familiarizes students with some of the most powerful and popular computer tools used daily at universities, businesses, non-Profits and government agencies around the world, including the latest edition of Microsoft Office 2010:

  • MS Word 2010
  • MS Excel 2010
  • MS Access 2010
  • MS PowerPoint 2010

Students also learn to take full advantage of the Windows 7 operating system, as well as how to effectively utilize an array of Internet resources for online communication and research.

The course combines electronic lecture components with "hands-on" skill development exercises including the creation of a short business plan utilizing all of the skills learned during the session going from concept to “real life” application.
