Boris Garlistsky visits the Colorado State campus to provide instruction to top CSU student musicians and to perform in an evening concert at the Organ Recital Hall, University Center for the Arts.
The MasterClass Series at Colorado State University School of the Arts features the world's finest performers in their genre, and are open to the public. On Thursday, March 26 from 5-7 p.m., a MasterClass with Boris Garlitsky, Violin, will be conducted in the Organ Recital Hall, University Center for the Arts.
Admission to the MasterClass is free.
Observe this amazing artist perform, as well as provide hands-on instruction to top select CSU students in an open, informal setting. Renowned Russian violinist Boris Garlitsky returns to CSU where his first residency is remembered fondly by our patrons and older students.
Garlitsky teaches at the Paris Conservatory and worked as concert master for the London Philharmonic Orchestra between 2003 and 2008.
Joined by his wife Elena Garlitsky, piano, Garlitsky will perform Sunday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Organ Recital Hall at the University Center for the Arts.
The program will include Brahms Sonata op. 120; a Prokofiev Duo in which Garlitsky is joined by CSU faculty Ron Francois; and Mendelssohn's Trio op. 66, in which CSU faculty Barbara Thiem, cellist, is featured. The concert will be followed by a Meet the Artist reception.
Tickets are $5 for CSU students and $15 for the public. Tickets are available for purchase at http://www.csutix.com.
