Dining with diabetes

Learning new behaviors is the key to managing diabetes through diet -- behaviors surrounding meal planning, cooking, overcoming barriers, and meeting others in your situation. A four-week program offered by the Nutrition Center will share research findings that will give you new diabetes knowledge and insight.

The Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center brings to life the latest in nutrition research, providing excellent nutrition education to the public.Whether you have type 1, type 2, gestational, or pre-diabetes, this program -- Dining with Diabetes offered by the Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center -- will give you new diabetes knowledge and insight.

Learn new behaviors for self-management, meal planning, cooking, and physical activity while understanding how to prevent complications, overcoming barriers, and meeting others in your situation.

Four week program

This 4-week program will be held on the following Thursdays in November and December, from 6:30-8 p.m.:

  • Nov. 3, 10, and Dec. 1, 8
  • 6:30-8 p.m.
  • 101 Gifford Building, 502 W. Lake Street
  • $100 for the series of four classes includes education materials and dinner

In addition to group programs, the Kendall Anderson Nutrition Center offers a variety of individual nutrition services:
