Parade of Lights preview performance

Stay in Fort Collins and get a sneak peek of the Marching Band's performance at the 2011 9News Parade of Lights -- an extravaganza of floats, balloons, marching bands and other performers which follows a two-mile route through downtown Denver each year, ushering in the holiday season.

The Marching Band will lead the way in the Parade of Lights, followed by eight high school bands chosen through this year's Street Parade Competition.  Image by CSU Photography.

Leading the parade

The CSU Marching Band returns to the 2011 9NEWS Parade of Lights, leading the annual event through the streets of downtown Denver on Friday, Dec. 2.

Free preview

Support the band during a free hometown parade preview on the streets around the University Center for the Arts when the uniformed band, complete with twinkle lights, marches counterclockwise around the UCA.  Open to the public.

The performance starts on the corner of Pitkin and Peterson.  

Meet the Artist reception

Free and open to the public. Following the parade, come inside the Griffin Lobby for a hot drink and dessert and a "Meet the Artist" reception.
