New Ticket Thursdays for students

Auust 24, 2012

Students -- have you checked out live theatre at Colorado State? CSU theatre students have won national conference awards for five years in a row for everything from theatre design, sound, technology, management, and performances. And now you can attend performances for free through the new Ticket Thursdays initiative.

Shakespeare's 'The Comedy of Errors,' is currently playing at the UCA. Candice Ingold directs this adaptation she describes as 'a little dark, a little dangerous, and absolutely dream-like.'Come one, come all!

The theatre program at Colorado State University announces a special offer for current CSU students to attend performances. The new Ticket Thursdays initiative allows CSU students to attend any Thursday performance of a theatre production for free!

Live, never canned or edited

“We want to make coming to see theatre a habit,” says Theatre & Dance Division Director Walt Jones. “The very nature of live theatre is that nothing’s canned or edited – this art form lives right along with you, and now we’re taking away all barriers so students can make this a part of their lives.”

Where to get your ticket

Students can pick up their tickets at the Ticket Office at the University Center for the Arts, Monday through Friday, 4-6 p.m., or one hour prior to the show.

A valid student ID must be presented for ticket redemption (one ticket per ID). Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance reservations recommended. Contact the Ticket Office at (970) 491-ARTS (2787) for more information.
