New wellness program from HR to launch

March 14, 2014

Colorado State University is launching a new human resources program to help employees make having a healthy lifestyle a top priority.

Staying well and being healthy is important, but often work, family commitments and errands make finding time to stay healthy feel impossible. Your health is important – to you and to us.

That’s why Colorado State University is providing the Healthy Lifestyles program. With access to plenty of online tools, trackers and resources – all at no cost to you – Healthy Lifestyles makes focusing on your well-being easier and more convenient than ever.

Program perks

CSU employees who are faculty, admin pro or other non-classified staff enrolled in an Anthem plan through CSU can now access to a new benefit called Healthy Lifestyles. Through the new benefit, beginning March 31, you can:

  • Take a private well-being assessment that will give you a complete picture of your current health so that you can see how your lifestyle habits affect your well-being. This also will give you the ability to create a well-being plan, including an ability to compare your score with other people of similar age and lifestyle. A personalized well-being plan can help you reach your healthy best. It includes recommendations, a list of focus areas and a personal health dashboard to keep you on track.
  • Check out online and on-the-go resources, including access to thousands of recipes, the wellbeingGO app to track your progress anywhere (available for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android) and customizable trackers for exercise, weight, stress and more.
  • Add a variety of custom trackers to keep tabs on exercise, stress, weight, or how much water you drink.
  • Earn reward points that you can redeem for great prizes like fitness gear, kitchen gadgets and more.
  • Find simple, healthy recipes your whole family will enjoy.
  • View an inspiration board where you can post motivational photos and quotes that inspires you to improve your health.

Anthem on-site throughout April

Anthem will be on-site in April to share more information about CSU's wellness program to eligible staff. Pre-registration is recommended due to room capacity restrictions. The presentations are:

  • 2:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, Lory Student Center Grey Rock Room
  • 11:30-12:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, Lory Student Center Virginia Dale Room
