Your role in diversity work Nov. 18

November 17, 2010

The Division of Student Affair's Fundamental Fridays series is hosting a workshop presented by Mark Benn, Ph.D., psychologist with the CSU Health Network.

Looking in the Mirror: Your Role in Diversity Work
Thursday, Nov. 18
9-10 a.m.
Lory Student Center Room 203

 Diversity from a broad perspective

This program will focus on diversity from a broad perspective - including such topics as:

  • Generational differences
  • Class
  • Gender
  • Geography
  • Personality style
  • Race and religion

Benn will use a humorous approach to address this (often) controversial topic by helping attendees explore their personal history and struggle with a topic that is often discussed and rarely understood from a personal perspective.

Understand diversity in a new way

Come prepared to enjoy yourself and understand “diversity” in a whole new way - by looking in your own mirror.

Note: Due to scheduling conflicts, this Fundamental Fridays session will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18. The Division of Student Affairs Fundamental Fridays professional and personal development opportunities are open to all faculty and staff.
