CSU Media Alumni Festival Sept. 17-19

September 10, 2009

The inaugural CSU Media Alumni Festival offers students the chance to meet top producers and writers behind some of today's most popular film, television, print, photography, public relations and web productions.

Nationally-recognized media alumni

In an unprecedented event, Colorado State University's Department of Journalism and Technical Communication is bringing together nationally and internationally recognized media alumni to present their award winning productions in a three day festival.

The festival will include a day long series of panel discussions featuring topics such as:

  • print
  • television
  • film
  • photography
  • magazine and newspaper
  • web
  • published authors
  • sports reporting
  • public relations
  • social media, and more

In addition, more than one hundred alumni media entries will be judged by a festival committee, with the top prize winners earning a Cammy Award, named after Cam the Ram.

Meet producers and writers

The event offers a rare opportunity for students, faculty and the general public to meet the producers and writers behind some of today's most popular, award winning productions including the Discovery Channel's "Whale Wars," the Army Times nationally-recognized series about an Army unit in Iraq "Blood Brothers," and the public relations successful launch of TIVO recording units, just to name a few.
