'A Christmas Story': Live theatre for the entire family

November 28, 2012

The beloved holiday classic, 'Christmas Story,' weaves iconic images from 1939 -- the Red Ryder BB gun, rich-chocolate Ovaltine, the leg lamp, and flagpoles and fire departments -- into its story about a boy in a northern Indiana town who desperately wants a Red Ryder BB Gun and will do anything to make sure he gets it.

'A Christmas Story' runs through December 16. Image by CSU Photograpy of the set of performers known as the 'green cast.' A Christmas Story by Philip Grecian is a play in two acts based upon the classic American 1983 motion picture of the same title by Jean Shepherd.

The Colorado State Theatre program is producing the play using the talents of Director Laura Jones, a cast of CSU students, as well as children from the 2012 Kids Do It All Summer Music-Theatre program.

All performances will be held in the University Center of the Arts, University Theatre, 1400 Remington Street.

We triple-dog-dare you to come out and enjoy this holiday classic for the whole family!
