Rams run the Bolder Boulder May 31

May 24, 2010

Join your Ram family at the Bolder Boulder on Monday, May 31. 'Runner's World Magazine' recently named the Bolder Boulder as America's All-Time Best 10K. This fun family event is one of the largest Memorial Day gatherings in the country. You may run, jog, or walk your way to the finish line.

Monday, May 31
7 a.m. - noon
34th and Iris Street
Boulder, Colo.

Ram fans - join your Ram family on Monday, May 31, Memorial Day, for the Bolder Boulder. The race starts at the north end of 30th Street and finishes at CU's Folsom Field, Boulder.

With as many as 50,000 spectators, the Bolder Boulder is one of the largest Memorial Day gatherings in the country.

Catch a wave

No other race in the world incorporates as many waves as the Bolder Boulder does. Instead of battling your way through 50,000 other bodies, you get your own start with a small group that runs or walks at about the same pace as you.

There are waves for qualified runners who can prove that they can run under 68 minutes, as well as waves for runners, joggers, and walkers who don't require qualification.

The first wave starts at 7 a.m. and the CSU Rams will all start together in a wave (time TBD). Join the CSU pre-race carb-load for free bagels, coffee, and bananas and a CSU freebie (location TBD).

Enjoying Boulder

Make a day and evening of it if you like - enjoy great restaurants close to the race route or span out and "do the town."

The Bolder Boulder has reserved the lowest rates at the Millennium Harvest House Boulder for race participants.  Just call the hotel at (303) 443-3850 to make reservations and provide the promotional code, "Run."

Pick up your headbands and wristbands

If you’re running the Bolder Boulder with your company, friends or family, don’t forget your Ram pride! Wear your Ram gear and get some great headbands and wristbands to wear during the race. Look for the person in CSU Rams gear at the corner of 34th and Iris near the start of the race.

If you are running with others, the best way to run together is to register everyone in your group together. All of you will be placed in the slowest wave in your group.

Registering to run with CSU

If you want to join the CSU Ram contingency, see the Alumni Association Events and Programs calendar for information about how to register.

After the race, meet at Section 214 in Folsom Field for some Ram camaraderie and giveaways!
