Wildrose Hamilton has a fun and flirty style you don't want to miss.

This year’s event showcases original designs created by students in the Fall 2009 capstone course in the apparel design and production concentration. Students have developed skills in market research and trend forecasting, design and production processes and the marketing of finished apparel lines, all of which were put to use to create the clothing and entire apparel show.

The student designers have gained experience developing product technical packages and using computer-aided design programs to assist in pattern drafting, garment sketches, textile designs and websites for their final lines.

Event planning and promotion

“Haute off the Press: Designer’s Edition” is sponsored by the Department of Design and Merchandising in the College of Applied Human Sciences and coordinated through the efforts of students enrolled in the apparel design show production and promotion class. The students in this class gain firsthand experience in special events planning and promotion. This year’s show is also supported by generous donations from individuals and businesses from around the community, as well as friends and family.

Local radio personalities serve as hosts

This year’s hosts are radio personalities Kama McDonald from KKPL-FM 99.9 The Point on Monday evening and Paul Wozniak from KTRR-FM Tri 102.5 on Tuesday evening.
