Gamma Beta Phi Society membership invitation

March 5, 2012

Students with a 3.0 GPA and who have completed 12 credits at CSU are invited to join the Gamma Beta Phi Society, a national collegiate honor and service organization.

Making an impact

The Society focuses on community and educational service, and every member is expected to participate in this service.

The Society has made a major impact all across America. In recent years, we collected 7,000 books for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. We collected 6,000 pairs of shoes for citizens of Iraq. We collected thousands of hats for the Heavenly Hats Foundation. We sent thousands of letters to the service men and woman onboard the USS Kitty Hawk. The Society’s list of accomplishments is long and impressive; we would love to have you help us in our endeavors.

Qualifications and criteria

The Local Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi Society at CSU will host an information meeting and induction ceremony. As a prospective new member, the information meeting will inform you as to what is expected from you should you choose to join. Should you meet the initial requirements, you are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings:

  • Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Gifford 235
  • Monday, March 26, 2012, at 6 p.m. in Gifford 235

At this information meeting, the chapter president will introduce you to the mission of the Gamma Beta Phi Society, answer all questions you may have about the Society, and discuss exciting project opportunities that exist within the Society. Should you decide to join, submitting your application and fee at the meeting is recommended.

The application will be available at either of the information sessions. There is a one-time national fee of $55, and the local chapter dues are $10, making the total cost to join $65.

If you are unable to attend the meeting and have questions, please contact
Eliza Hammond or visit the National Gamma Beta Phi Society website.

Induction ceremony

The induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 7 p.m. in Gifford 235.

At this ceremony, you will receive your membership certificate, your induction packet and be recognized publicly for this remarkable achievement.

Please invite your family and friends to attend.
