Coverage for Adult Children to Age 26

Passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Health Care Reform) will impact some benefits under the CSU self-funded medical plan for CY 2011.

One specific area of note is the opportunity to enroll adult children on employer group medical plans who were previously ineligible for the plan due to age. Adult children can be covered on medical plans until age 26, regardless of marital or tax dependency status, if they are enrolled now or during the upcoming open enrollment period, for coverage effective Jan. 1, 2011.
