'Horse Sense' to air on PBS

The documentary, 'Horse Sense," which was screened on campus on April 2, 2013, is scheduled to show on Rocky Mountain PBS on Thursday, May 9, from 8-10 p.m.

"Horse Sense looks at the current state of the human-horse relationship, centering on the innovative work done at Colorado State University that is changing the equine landscape globally,' says Rocky Mountain PBS.

"The film also raises awareness about the connections and similarities between equine and human medicine, and what advances mean for both the equine industry and advances in human health care."

The documentary, which is narrated by Gov. John Hickenlooper, showcases CSU’s equine programs including the Orthopaedic Research Center, Equine Reproduction Laboratory, Equine Hospital, and Equine Sciences undergraduate program.

Interviews include faculty

Horse Sense features interviews with horse owners, ranchers and several faculty members from the university’s renowned equine programs in the College of Agricultural Sciences and College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
