Join us to learn more about the history of vampires and take part in a lively, interactive discussion.

'Bite Me: Vampirism and You'

Famous vampires and vampire film and TV series are multiplying in number:

  • Dracula
  • Angel
  • True Blood
  • Vampire Diaries
  • Count Chocula
  • Twilight
  • Interview with a Vampire
  • The Count from Sesame Street

. . . the list can go on and on.

But what do vampires have to do with our society and current issues?

We'll be looking through the history of vampires with images, literature, and other media and how the concept of vampires represents societal issues of the time.

This is an open, interactive discussion and any knowledge of vampires is welcome.
