Tickets to support the museum are $50 per person. Events take place at the University Art Museum, housed in the University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington Street. A Champagne Pre-Party Reception, ticketed separately, will precede the event at the Remington House at 5:30 p.m.

Two exhibitions on display

Visualize will feature private previews of the exhibitions Small Worlds: European Portrait Miniatures and Mexican Prints from the Calle Collection: The Taller de Gráfica Popular and Graphic Commitment.

In addition, the event will feature a multi-projected remix of the landmark art film Koyaanisqatsi, made possible by the film’s director Godfrey Reggio. This 1982 film includes a beautiful score by composer Philip Glass. The title comes from the Hopi word meaning “life out of balance.” The film is the first in a series created by Reggio and is the recipient of numerous film festival awards. The University Art Museum is extremely grateful to the director and to artist Steina Vasulka for assistance with this project.
