February 7, 2013

Eleven applicants will share riveting talks, inspiring stories, transformative concepts, and powerful ideas worth spreading at this year's TEDxCSU conference, set for 1 p.m. March 2 in the Lory Student Center Theatre.

Tickets for the event are now on sale. Tickets are free for students and $16 for community members. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Campus Box Office in the Lory Student Center.

New perspectives

The purpose of the five-hour-long conference is to generate a space for a diverse group of intellectual thinkers to present an original idea in a 10-15 minute talk. This year’s team will dare members of the Fort Collins community to spend a day "Expanding your perspectives."

"After an overwhelmingly positive response to our speaker hunt and many tremendous applicants, we have assembled an incredible lineup of speakers that promise to challenge your perspectives,” said organization founder, Hannah Toole.

The official list of speakers for the conference is as follows:

  • Kathlene Baumgardner
  • Jeni Cross
  • Mairi-Jane Fox
  • Dan Jasperse
