Please join Computer Training and Support Services (CTSS) and The Institute for Learning & Teaching (TILT) for the third session of our spring Teaching with Technology Workshop Series.

Brian Jones, instructor and director of the Little Shop of Physics, will present:

Use Your Power(Point) Wisely:
Creating Effective Slides and Presentations
  • How do you best fit the technology tool to the job at hand?
  • Folks have a story to tell and information to convey; what's the best tool for this purpose?

Slides may not be the answer. Or perhaps a different type of slide than we usually see might best get points across.

This presentation will focus on pedagogy that affects the choice of multimedia presentation tools.  It will also cover tips and tricks of using the effective features of PowerPoint and Keynote, such as appropriate use of transitions and backgrounds.

We hope you will join us.
