Colorado State University President Tony Frank will lead a community outreach visit to Fort Morgan and Sterling April 27-29.
The visit will include meetings with university staff in northeastern Colorado who work with CSU Extension and the Colorado State Forest Service. Frank will also connect with alumni, government officials, business and community leaders, students, parents and other interested residents.
“It’s important that we spend time visiting Colorado’s communities, reaching out and listening to their concerns and taking note of their priorities,” Frank said.
“Colorado State is the land-grant university and our mission is to provide Coloradans access to education, as well as service and outreach they can use. The best way to find out what people need is to ask them.”
Alumni, community, and friends events in Fort Morgan and Sterling are open to anyone who would like to attend. The event will offer attendees the opportunity to talk with university leadership and provide input on CSU’s impact in the community.
There is a cost to attend the Fort Morgan event. For more information, contact Kevin Keefe at (303) 888-7522. The Sterling event is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in attending can visit the Web at www.alumni.colostate.edu or call (800) 286-2586 for more information and to RSVP.
University leaders from the areas of Extension, Agricultural Sciences, Alumni Association, Office of Engagement, Admissions and others will join Frank for the trip.
The schedule of public events includes:
The statewide community tour kicked off last year with stops throughout northwestern, southwestern and southeastern Colorado. Additional outreach visits are planned during 2010.
