The Kathryn T. Bohannon Women at Noon Program begins its spring program on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at noon in Room 214-216, Lory Student Center, with “How you look vs. who you are: Healing your body image.”

The talk will be given by Melissa Wdowik, Ph.D., R.D., director of The Nutrition Center at CSU in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at Colorado State University.

Media has an enormous impact on our body image, as does our everyday environment. How do they influence you? Do you take care of yourself inside and out, or do you promise to do better once you lose five pounds?

Learn to filter negative influences, explore myths about weight and health, and confront your own prejudices about size. Ultimately, a healthy lifestyle is critical, so let's discuss how you would eat and move differently if you started loving your body now.
