Household Hazardous Waste Collection

On Saturday, September 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the City of Fort Collins Utility Department will be collecting items such as paint, pesticides, and cleaning products. Bring your hazardous waste to us and we'll safely dispose of it for you.

The City of Fort Collins Utilities Department is once again hosting its Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, September 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This event is open to Fort Collins residents – commercial waste will not be accepted. Limit of 30 gallons per household.

Bring your unused/unwanted:

  • pool/spa products
  • paint
  • automotive fluids
  • pesticides
  • cleaning products
  • household batteries (please, no car batteries - the automotive shop can recycle those!)
  • lawn/yard products, and
  • mercury containing items (such as thermometers and thermostats).
