State Classified Performance Evaluations and Plans

April 1, 2009

The State Classified Performance Cycle concluded on March 31, and final evaluations for the 2008/2009 performance cycle, along with performance plans for the 2009/2010 performance cycle must be completed for state-classified employees in the month of April.

The timeline for the evaluation/planning period is as follows:

  • March 31, 2009:  Performance cycle concludes
  • April 2009:  State Classified performance evaluations for 08/09 developed and delivered to staff 
  • April 27, 2009:  Final Planning Confirmation and Overall Evaluation Form due to HRS with required information entered into Oracle
  • April 2009:  Performance plans for 09/10 completed with required information entered into Oracle

Batches are now available in Oracle to enter the final evaluation meeting date and rating as well as the date of the planning meeting. Please enter this info into Oracle and forward the original 2008/2009 Final Planning Confirmation and Overall Form to HRS by April 27, 2009.

Designated reviewer

To ensure that you are conducting your evaluation process in accordance with your specific organization, please contact your College or Vice Presidential division prior to conducting performance reviews with your employees. Additionally, supervisors must secure approval from the designated reviewer in your organization prior to finalizing performance evaluations with employees. The reviewer is defined as the academic or administrative department head, or the dean or vice president for employees in those central administrative offices, and must be at least one level higher than the supervisor.
