Wellness Zone offers free cholesterol screening

February 18, 2009

Healthy Campus 2010 establishes national college health objectives and serves as a basis for developing plans to improve student health. Based on the best scientific knowledge, program guidelines recommend that all people 20-years-old and above know their cholesterol numbers.

Cholesterol screening

People 20-years-of-age and older should know their cholesterol numbers.  Why?

Because getting a baseline will help guide you in creating a lifestyle that will lend itself to optimal health.  Diet in particular has an impact on blood cholesterol and eating habits can impact life-long health.

Free fasting cholesterol screening is being offered at the Wellness Zone for two days, Tuesday, Feb. 24 and Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Preregistration required

You must pre-register by calling the Health District at (970) 224-5209.
