CSU will begin playing women's soccer on the Division I level next fall. Coach Bill Hempen is seeking experienced soccer players to help fill out his first team.
The new program will hold open tryouts for prospective players at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Indoor Practice Facility.
To participate, players must be full-time students (at least 12 credit hours) enrolled at CSU. Prior to the tryout, a mandatory informational meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Coors Family Auditorium in the McGraw Athletic Center.
Prospective players should bring a current physical exam and sickle cell testing results to the Tuesday meeting. The physical must have taken place after Oct. 28, 2012. Participants who haven’t had a sickle cell test can get one Wednesday at Hartshorn Health Center.
