Flags lowered to half-mast in honor of Dorothy Height, civil rights heroine

Pursuant to President Obama’s order to lower the flags to half-staff, Gov. Bill Ritter has ordered all flags on public buildings to half-staff in Colorado on Thursday, April 29, 2010, in honor of Dr. Dorothy Height.

Height, president of the National Council of Negro Women from 1957-1997, passed away April 20. She was 98.
