FB: CSU accepts invitation to 2013 New Mexico Bowl

The Colorado State Rams have accepted an invitation to play in the 2013 New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 21 in Albuquerque, N.M. The Rams, with a record of 7-6 (5-3 in Mountain West play) will have to wait until this evening to learn their opponent. CSU is expected to face a member of the Pac-12, with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. MT at University Stadium on the campus of the University of New Mexico. The Rams, who finished the regular season with five wins in their last seven games, will play in their 13th bowl game and first since their 2008 New Mexico Bowl win over Fresno State. Read more.

WBB: Rams notch 3rd road win

The Colorado State women’s basketball persevered over a tough Denver team at Magness Arena Sunday, winning 86-78. The win is just the second for CSU (6-3, 0-0 Mountain West) in the past eight years, and the first in Denver vs. the Pioneers (1-7, 0-0 Summit) since the 2003-04 campaign. Read more.

MBB: Rams score 109 in victory over SWOS

Six players finished in double-figures scoring for the Rams, who eclipsed the 100-point mark for the first time under head coach Larry Eustachy, as the Colorado State men’s basketball team got back on the winning track with a 109-55 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State in front of 3,044 fans at Moby Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Rams responded after suffering a tough loss to rival Colorado on Tuesday, pouring in the fourth-highest point total in program history, and reaching the century mark for the first time in almost eight years, dating back to a 106-80 victory over UCCS on Dec. 28, 2005. FB: CSU adds Boston College to 2014 schedule

Colorado State will play a football game in 2014 at Boston College, facing the Eagles for just the second time in school history. The schools have finalized a contract to play one game, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27 at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Read more.

VB: Record-breaking season comes to close in NCAA tournament

Colorado State’s record-breaking season came to an end Thursday, as the Rams fell to Cal State Northridge in five sets in the first round of the NCAA tournament. With a 28-2 record, the 12th-ranked Rams finished with a .933 winning percentage, best in program history. Read more.

WBB: Rams win in final-second thriller

In a battle to the finish, the Colorado State women's basketball team came out victorious over the Loyola Marymount Lions, 70-68. The Rams (5-3, 0-0 MW) led the game 70-68 with 3.5 seconds left on the clock, when the Lions (1-7, 0-0 WCC) responded with a layup in the final seconds of the shot clock, which was reviewed as no good by the referees.
