The Bell Curve is a comedic exploration of the current state of America’s racism.  Bell will perform at Colorado State on Wednesday, November 16. The event is free and open to the public.

In a review of The Bell Curve, wrote, "By making no subject off limits, keeping no discrimination too taboo, and leaving no room for self-denial, Kamau's Bell Curve is not only a powerful comedic performance, but an outlet for a necessary dialogue."

The many faces of racism

Racism is always attacking in new ways and from new angles, yet Kamau Bell forms a comedic, intellectual, and articulate performance out of topics that most people find uncomfortable to talk about.

The Bell Curve could be the nation's first truth and reconciliation hearing on race from a comedic stand-point.

Bell on 'The Bell Curve'

"When I initially began doing The Bell Curve, I immediately realized that I enjoyed the idea of taking one subject, attacking it from different angles, and trying to find unique approaches to something that we as a society spend lots of time thinking abou," Bell says.

"I knew it didn't always have to be about race. I even did a few solo shows where I focused on things like Black History Month and frustration. That is where I really feel like my comedic itch gets scratched."
