Golfing for a cause July 16

Golf on behalf of Colorado State University students who are part of the Livestock Judging Program. Your fee pays for a round of golf, lunch, drink coupons, and a bucket of range balls; a portion is a charitable donation to the team.

Proceeds from the annual CSU Livestock Judging Team Golf Tournament will enable students to enter competitions at nationally recognized livestock shows.  Monday, July 16

The 5th annual CSU Livestock Judging Team golf tournament will be held at Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club on Monday, July 16.  Immediately following the tournament, there will be a steak dinner followed by awards, a reunion, and a live auction.

4-star rating golf course

Conveniently located in the center of the Water Valley community, the Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole, semi-private championship golf course.

With more than 300 surface acres of water surrounding the links and dozens of mature trees along the fairways, golfers will be challenged by this spectacular stadium-style championship course

Participation levels

You may participate at any of these levels:

  • $50 steak dinner ONLY
  • $125/player
  • $500/team

The golfing fees include a round of golf (scramble format), a bucket of range balls, lunch, drink coupons, and a charitable donation of $45 per person, or $180 per team.

Prizes will be awarded for top teams and players. Proceeds from this event go to the livestock judging team to help with competition and travel expenses.

Livestock program considered one of elite

Colorado State University’s Livestock Judging program dates back to 1914 when the first team competed at the National Western Stock Show. Since then numerous accolades have been garnered. The CSU Livestock Program is considered as one of the elite in the country.  

More importantly, team members have gone onto to excel in the livestock industry where they have been called upon to be industry leaders. Many contribute their success after graduating from CSU to the values gained through Livestock Judging.
