Build your own multimedia book for the iPad with amazing free authoring app and two-hour hands-on instruction.

Available free on the Mac App Store, iBooks Author is an amazing app that allows anyone to create beautiful Multi-Touch textbooks — and just about any other kind of book — for iPad. With galleries, video, interactive diagrams, 3D objects, mathematical expressions, and more, these books bring content to life in ways the printed page never could.

In this two-hour session, presented by Apple Engineer Corey Carson, participants will be given multimedia resources and walked through an exercise to build their own textbook. Bring a Mac running 10.7.4 (Lion) or higher with iBooks Author 2.0 installed.
The workshop will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2-4 p.m. at the Event Center, Morgan Library. Register at Click on the Login tab and login with your ename and epassword. Once logged in, click on the Add Class tab and select the class.
